Boise Backlot Farms is a small-scale, urban farm located in northwest Boise run by one woman, Jenna, with a mini farmer (baby) in tow.
Jenna has a background in medical device engineering and clinical research that taught her to believe food is a major component of a healthy lifestyle. For this reason, she strives to make a difference in the community’s health by providing nutritious, tasty, organically grown produce to the community. Jenna is passionate about making a difference in my community, putting what she believes into action, and growing/cooking great tasting food – food is an easy way to relate to almost anybody!
In the past, produce was sold mainly through the farmer’s market. However, due to the new addition of baby farmer this year, the main method of produce sales this year will be through CSA membership. After the CSA shares are packed for the week, all remaining produce will be available for individual purchase during the Thursday evening CSA pick up.
